فاروق رحمانی کی طرف سے فوج کے ہاتھوں بانڈی پورہ کے نوجوان کے قتل کی شدید مذمت
Bandipora brutality is part of systematic Killings─Muhammad Farooq Rehmani
Islamabad 26 July 2012: The Chairman Jammu and Kashmir People's Freedom League, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, has strongly condemned a cold-blooded murder of an innocent inhabitant in Aloosa- Bandipora, Kashmir Hilal Ahmad Dar, after the latter's Taraveeh prayers, sending waves of shock and anger through-out Kashmir valley.
Muhammad Farooq Rehmani said, "gunning down of innocent citizens in Kashmir has become second nature of India's occupation forces, as there is no accountability and trial system, no retribution concept in the regime; and that India believes in the power of occupation, presence of army and continuation of draconian laws in the turbulent region; the responsible international bodies like the UN, have for long been apathetic to the plight and the rights of the Kashmiris under the Indian occupation rule. Therefore, India is encouraged to perpetuate its tyrannical rule with impunity and its forces have benefits of corruption and bribery in Jammu and Kashmir."
Muhammad Farooq Rehmani said that whatever was happening in the occupied region were only terror, torture, and moral cowardice and bankruptcy of that regime; the pro-India parties were issuing sermons of so called human values and good governance, while actually they were mum at the police brutalities and torture against the citizens. They were not feeling ashamed of their cowardice; not coming to the support of the victimized and targeted people, groaning under the draconian laws of India for long.
Muhammad Farooq Rehmani emphasized the proactive and duty-bound role of the UN, OIC, and world human rights organization's and warned that since India's designs were very dreadful following her free hand in Afghanistan; anything may happen and frequent acts of state-terrorism could be a prelude to even more ugly developments in this volatile region. He said although the Kashmiris were feeling like orphans in the present regional- behavioral and political developments; they couldn't be made kneeling-cartoons.

Human Tragedy of Kashmir should be addressed collectively - Muhammad Farooq Rehmani
Islamabad July 10, 2012: The Chairman Jammu and Kashmir People's Freedom League, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani has urged the All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) to initiate solid measures addressing woes and nightmarish problems of the oppressed families, who were subjected to molestation, criminal assault, murder and rape by Indian forces and police during the past 22 years of military operations in the State.
He said, "It's all right that we do remember our martyrs annually; we protest in the same way against countless ignoble acts of rape, murder, humiliation and other crimes, Indian army and police perpetrate on helpless Kashmiri families, who continuously live a life of grief and gloom or suffer migration to Pakistan since the creation of Kashmir tragedy in 1947."
He further said, "Besides remembering martyrs, and victims of atrocities and observing tragic events annually, it will be far important, if we could seriously ponder over practical ways of serving the affected people by constituting a body of patriots; comprising eminent jurists, men of integrity, and immune to pomp and show." Such a body, he said, "will be required to take up all the horrible events of the past 22 years and present day, related to the depressed and helpless families, molested women and girls; people murdered in fake encounters, and forcibly disappeared by army, police, or masked agents. Almost every home, village, town and market has in store terrific tales of grief to narrate, and seek justice against the culprits." He said, " No victimized father, or a widow, or a forlorn mother or any molested woman can rest unless a killer or a robber of a woman's chastity stands in the dock and receives an exemplary punishment. Although the perpetrators of heinous crimes against humanity got off scot-free long ago, but the people can recognize them and their masters in every garb, or look."
Muhammad Farooq Rehmani has enumerated the tragic episodes of this decade to awaken the conscience of the world, and his countrymen, especially the politicians and the clergy who are at the helm of affairs in Kashmir. He laments, "until today we left every such awful incident unaddressed, unattended and uncared for; the result is that these criminals, or their masters whether in uniform or otherwise wander freely, unnoticed and unpunished for their crimes against humanity."
He said that if the political leadership addressed these problems quickly and honestly across the board, that could be the real service to the nation, and not pretty rhetoric which we practice in our daily political life. Serving helpless and oppressed people selflessly is quite different from carrying a large attaché of claims and 'certificates' to hoodwink the world today.
He said, "The victimized, tormented and humiliated men and women are losing their patience, because we failed to address their melancholy and plight by creating a mechanism to stand by them. Our world has failed in duty to bring to book human-brutes in Jammu and Kashmir. The killers of humanity in Kashmir deserved treatment of war criminals. It was the duty of the world, the world organizations to knock at the door of the international court of justice, against the rulers of this regime, whether a Governor, or a chief executive or a commander or whoso ever committed a crime or ordered to kill or rape women, or forcibly disappeared an innocent man or woman. If it was not done yesterday, it should be done today. We would be astonished to know that six decades on the Russians are still searching for their World war 11 dead. If again we cannot feel the pulse of our silent majority and God forbid failed to create a mechanism to address the bereaved and forlorn, the time can come, when the new generation will show its volt-face. The details of unforgettable and tragic episodes of Kashmir may be found in my separate article on human tragedy of Kashmir. Our posterity will remember us, by our deeds, not by empty rhetoric, or talk-shows or hollow claims." -End
India be questioned by ICJ - Muhmmad Farooq Rehmani
Freedom League Muhammad Farooq Rehmani has urged upon the UNO to look
into all those excesses and human rights violations that were
committed by Indian forces in the past 22 years and continue even
today against the innocent people of Kashmir to stifle their voice
for freedom and right of the self-determination.
In his separate letters to special rapporteurs and working groups of
the United Nations Council for human rights at Geneva, he enumerated a
trail of different tragedies faced by the Kashmiris in the shape of
extra judicial summery or arbitrary executions, torture, arbitrary
detention, enforced or involuntary disappearances, denial of freedom
of assembly and the suppression of opinion and expression, quoting a
famous sentence of Mr. Ban-Ki-Moon, UN Secretary General, " All
victims of human rights abuses should be able to look to the human
rights council as forum and a springboard for action."
Referring to the state sponsored atrocities against humanity in
Kashmir, he said, "They fall under numerous categories and have been
perpetrated on men, women and children almost in every village, town
and city of Jammu and Kashmir."
"It is also evident from numberless graves and graveyards both marked
and unmarked all over the state, he said.
He pointed out that India was never questioned nor brought before the
International Court of Justice for her trail of destruction of human
life and values in Kashmir, during the last 22 years, with the result
every morning, adding fresh stories of travail to the history of life
and death in Kashmir. Fathers dump with grief and mothers crying
cannot stop tears from flowing for their imprisoned, brutalized,
forcibly disappeared sons or near and dear ones. Therefore we once
again call upon the United Nations organization and its Human Rights
Council to take cognizance of all those tragic events that occurred
during the last 22 years. The peoples of Kashmir would welcome such an
investigation as a great CBM by the world body, to create conditions
for a peaceful and durable solution of South Asia's longest political
dispute. #END

Sacrilegious acts have deeper ramifications on Kashmir - Muhammad Farooq Rehmani
Islamabad, 30 Jun, 2012: The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir People's Freedom League Muhammad Farooq Rehmani has expressed serious apprehensions regarding the acts of desecrating shrines, mosques, Qur'an and other holy relics, one after the other in different parts of Kashmir, believing to have been manipulated to enmesh the people in communal frenzy and sowing seeds of hatred, between Muslims and non-Muslims but also amongst the Muslims themselves. He feared that the enemies and vested interests in Kashmir were in league to divert the attention of the world from an unresolved imbroglio and the right of self-determination to the devil's prejudices.
Muhammad Farooq Rehmani felt that the backlash could be unimaginable and it had regional and international ramifications for the future of Kashmir and peace. "It could mar ability of the stake-holders to resolve the dispute peacefully and honestly," he said.
Muhammad Farooq Rehmani said that the communal harmony in these confusing and dark times was so crucial and indispensable to the movement of freedom; while as evil practices of desecration were aimed at portraying Kashmir in an ugly manner before the world. He advised Kashmiris to guard their national interests well and all communities, united protect; worshiping places, shrines and relics and historical heritage of centuries. If the Kashmiris failed to act as true patriots, nobody will care for them. The movement of the right to self-determination depends on patriotism and not on opportunism.
Muhammad Farooq Rehmani urged Indian administration to lift all sorts of restrictions on normal life and stop rounding- up and prosecuting innocent people in the name of law and order. The provocative prohibitory measures, he said, "have crippled economy, and purchasing- power of the people, whose vast majority lives in abject poverty while a small class of exploiters thrives at the country's resources."
Muhammad Farooq Rehmani warned that the right of self-determination was facing a world-vide challenge of unprecedented nature that could be faced by a broad-based strategy on the basis of the UN manifesto.

Killers of Asiya, Neelofar, and others be brought to Justice-Farooq Rehmani
Islamabad May 30, 2012: Chairman Jammu and Kashmir People's Freedom
League, Muhammad Muhammad Farooq Rehmani has paid glowing tributes
to Asiya, and Neelofar of Shopian on their martyrdom anniversary and
all those women and girls from Kupwara to Shopian, who were robbed of
honour, molested, and brutally murdered, or kidnapped and forcibly
married under gun and used as a weapons of military operations by army
and rented militants during the last 22 years of trial and
tribulation of Kashmir. He said whether Kunan-Poshpora, Panzipora, or
Shopian or numerous other Kashmiri localities, where women and girls
were, criminally assaulted, killed and thrown into ravines or rivers
by army, police, deserve practical public support to punish their
perpetrators of crime." The dark aspect of their grim saga is that
the victims and their parents have never been heard, nor justice
done," he regretted.
Referring to those oppressed and helpless women and their parents or
guardians, he said, " they still wait for justice, but the regime is
apathetic towards them, rather shielding the culprits by various means
and tactics. This criminal negligence is an ugly scar on India in
the conflict- zone of Kashmir. Obviously, not punishing criminals
amounts to condoning their crime."
But, he said, "equally politicians and leaders are responsible for
their failure and callousness to agitate the issue and punishing the
scot-free brute and inhuman personnel of the regime. Just paying lip
service to the victims of rape or murder or both is not enough.
Although our social ethos prevent victims of animal lust, or their
parents and brothers to come out and press for justice, but under the
circumstances and the underlying cause of atrocity and abuse, it's
the duty of the leadership to raise the voice forcefully, and
mobilizing courts to trace the culprits and punish them under law.
The so-called Kashmir regime supported exonerated their guilt by
transferring the accused officers to unknown places."
Muhammad Farooq Rehmani said, "The honour of our victimized women is
very important. It can't be forgiven. No doubt years have passed
since fall of the tragedy over Kashmir. The double rape-murder case of
Asiya and Neelofar martyrs, or any other such tragedy of any family of
Kashmir is not a local issue .Every such issue is our responsibility,
and the responsibility of the UNO at large. Therefore, all those
culprits, criminals in any capacity must be brought to book and
sentenced to uphold honour of women, society and humanity."
He said, "since the regime and its civil and military brass has only
shielded criminals throughout these long years of turmoil, therefore
the time has come when legal fraternity, human rights activists and
political leaders with their rigorous campaign should take the
Shopian, Kunan Poshpora and other such heinous crimes to the
international community to punish culprits, who committed heinous
crimes against Kashmiri women in the last two decades, but are still
at large with the support of regime-high-ups."

Saichen Avalanche is shocking──Muhammad Farooq Rehmani
Islamabad: 09 April, 2012: Chairman Jammu and Kashmir People's Freedom League Muhammad Farooq Rehmani has expressed shock over the occurrence of a devastating avalanche engulfing an entire camp of the Pakistan army in Sakardu on Saturday. It was a sad day for Pakistan as the army lost about 124 soldiers deployed at remote northern border with India since 2 decades. The battalion headquarter of the Northern Light Infantry (NLI),an operational regiment based in Gilgit-Baltistan, was situated at the urban region of the Gayari. Eleven were civilians among the casualties suffered in this remote area billed as the world's highest battleground near Siachen. The victims belonged to the NLI operational sub-division of Northern Scouts, Gilgit Scouts, and Karakorum Scouts. The 11 civilians were reported to be Ministry of Defense (MOD) official. The intense rescue efforts were under- way on Sunday, and the soldiers were braving inclement weather without any headway.
Muhammad Farooq Rehmani lauded the sacrifices of the soldiers, paid glowing tribute to their courage and expressed sympathies with their families and prayed to Allah for eternal blessings of the avalanche-buried warriors.

Christof Heyn's statement substantiated our views - Farooq Rehmani
Fai's sentence shocking -Muhammad Farooq Rehmani
Islamabad:01 April,2012: The Chairman Jammu and Kashmir People's Freedom League, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani has expressed great shock over the jailing sentence of two years by a US Court against Dr. Gh. Nabi Fai, who was lobbying for a peaceful resolution of Kashmir, and for the restoration of basic human rights of the Kashmiris as an American citizen of Kashmiri descent for the past several decades in America, believing in the US capability to facilitate a peaceful dialogue between the two Atomic powers of South Asia. Criticizing the latest sentence of a District US Court against Ghulam Nabi Fai he said that it would hurt the Kashmiris across the disputed region sending bad message, and giving setback to conflict resolution process on Kashmir issue.
He said that the sentence passed by a US Court also raised some pertinent questions about lobbying standards in the West, which Kashmiri lobbyists might be asked to respond in the fast-track world of India-Pakistan links and interests, especially when there were no similar checks upon India's overt and covert activities against the basic Kashmiri demands in the West and US.
The sentence further sends an alarm- note to the Kashmiris around the West who are in deep waters; both after Indo-Pak CBMs not Kashmir-related human rights issues and strained Pak-US relations after the US's Abbotabad operation and growing defense partnership between the US and India," he maintained.

India prevents free interaction of people with UN Special Rapporteur--Farooq Rehmani
Islamabad: 28 March, 2012(PR): Chairman Jammu and Kashmir People's Freedom League, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani has urged the Kashmiris especially the victims of extrajudicial, summary, and arbitrary executions to articulate their grievances by making the best use of the presence of the UN Special Rapporteur Christ of Heyns in Srinagar. The families of forcibly disappeared Kashmiris in the past 20 years should come out bravely to meet the UN representative helping him to prepare an exhaustive report of atrocities in connection with the monster of state-terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.
Muhammad Farooq Rehmani said, "though the authorities and the elements who committed heinous crimes of extra-judicial killings, gang rapes and buried the victims in unmarked graves have had still power to continue the brutalities, are quite capable of lying; but the Kashmiris have burnt their boats therefore they should come forward to divulge untold tales of horror relating to their near and dear ones before the UN Rapporteur." On the part of the Special Rapporteur, he said, it is the prime responsibility of the UN emissary to go from village to village --to collect every bit of information. He said that India was preventing free interaction between the victims and the UN Special Rapporteur to hide some bitter facts, and was still armed with black laws in the State. He said let the world know the perpetrator of brutalities, whether some individual or an institution.

Farooq Rehmani condemns attack on Syed Ali Gilani
Islamabad: 27 March 2012 Chairman Jammu and Kashmir People's Freedom League(PFL) Muhammad Farooq Rehmani has strongly denounced murderous attack on APHC Chairman Syed Ali Gilani in New Delhi today by Hindu fanatics as a grave act of barbarity, insanity, and terrorism aimed at silencing the people of Kashmir for their call for freedom from India.
He said despite every provocation by India the Kashmiris would not compromise on their struggle for the right of self-determination and plebiscite according to the United Nation's resolutions.

Lahore Resolution changed course of history-- Farooq Rehmani
Islamabad 22 March,2012: Chairman Jammu and Kashmir People's Freedom League ,Muhammad Farooq Rehmani has on the 72 anniversary of Lahore Resolution congratulated the people of Pakistan and paid glowing tributes to the martyrs of the freedom struggle hoping that the present generation will make wholehearted endeavor to revive the spirit of struggle that created Pakistan in 1947. He said that Pakistan today was passing through its history's most turbulent and testing period ,and only a true and honest democratic ,economic and judicial system could ensure its security and integrity .A transparent democratic economic system will make Pakistan prosperous and no power on earth will harm it in any manner.
Muhammad Farooq Rehmani said that a round- the- clock struggle under the dynamic and able leadership of Quad-e-Azam Pakistan was established rekindling hope of a new birth among all the Muslims of the world. But, unfortunately the largest Muslim majority Princely State of the British India was annexed by India forcibly and illegally ,endangering peace and stability of the region.
He said today along with the security and integrity of Pakistan, freedom and right of self-determination for Jammu and Kashmir was equally essential and indispensable, as Quaid-e-Azam and other front-ranking leaders of the Pakistan movement attached great importance to Kashmir's freedom. He recalled that after adopting the Lahore Resolution Quaid visited Srinagar in 1945, and was given enthusiastic and unprecedented welcome by the Kashmiris. Besides when the founder of Pakistan was breathing his last on his death bed he was keen to receive the Kashmir Commission of the UNO to discuss with them the future of Kashmir in line with the Independence Act 1947.This proved his attachment with the State of Jammu and Kashmir.
Muhammad Farooq Rehmani urged on the Pakistanis and their leaders to make and devote all their endeavors towards the country's political and economic strength and stability and scientific progress and further draw a practical line of planning for the freedom of Kashmir and ending of brutal Indian rule in Jammu and Kashmir.

Political will not rhetoric needed for Freedom—Farooq Rehmani
He said that the Government and the opposition of the AJK, as running the Base-Camp of the State for freedom have much more responsibilities than others to accomplish the incomplete task of their founding fathers for freedom. They should follow the path shown by the founders of the Azad Kashmir in 1947, do some solid work without tall claims to change the receding
Muhammad Farooq Rehmani urged upon the media domain of the Azad Kashmir to focus on the freedom struggle and reuniting of the State, pointing out that some news- papers print banner lines of the statements of politicians without any relevance or contribution to the Kashmir cause or to State's prosperity." He said that if the AJK authorities wanted to foil India's media war against freedom- struggle, they must infuse new blood in the Azad Kashmir Radio Station and AJK P TV in Muzaffarabad giving them creative role and leading position to gain public trust and confidence. Currently the AJK Radio Station and the Muzaffarabad PTV Channel were like dead leaves and people were expecting their burial any time. Therefore it was in the interest of AJK as well as Pakistan to make the R stations, and TV channels dynamic institutions and look how the Srinagar Radio station and Srinagar Channel of Door Darshan worked in Kashmir against the cause of the Kashmiris. "The rulers of AJK must understand that this part of Kashmir has no meaning without Jammu and Kashmir and its struggle for the freedom of the State," he concluded.

Addressing Human Rights Question is of Paramount importance – Farooq Rehmani
Islamabad, 12 Mar, 2012: The Chairman Jammu and Kashmir People's Freedom League Muhammad Farooq Rehmani has cautioned world against neglecting Kashmir's basic issue of political destiny and human rights tragedy that has seen much human blood spilt and honor of women robbed for demanding the fulfillment of the political promises and implementation of relevant UN resolutions adopted during the last 64 years of uncertainty. "All talk to encourage trac-2 or trade between Pakistan and India via LOC or directly after removing the negative list without abolishing the Indian inhuman laws and ending gross human rights abuses by the Indian troops and paratroopers is doomed to end in fiasco", he warned. He said notwithstanding newly inked trade protocols between the two Governments Kashmir would continue to remain strictly a political question of the future of a nation that has put everything at stake to reach its goal through the internationally recognized right of self-determination.
He said that despite bilateral Pakistan-India talks, equally important was the participation of the Kashmiris in the process of resolution of the core issue. The international community must take into account the fall out of human rights violations on the future of talks and on regional peace and the world must never shirk their responsibilities vis-a-vis Kashmir. He said inhuman laws and the persistence of brutal methods of suppression terribly hinder the resolution of Kashmir dispute. "India has always paid deaf ear to it and believes in war of attrition against the present generation of the Kashmiris affecting adversely on the sub-continent's peace and progress", he remarked.
Muhammad Farooq Rehmani said that since India had no moral and political grip over the land and people of Kashmir, therefore, it had taken recourse to stifling of the press, media and every other mode of communication to hide killings from the free world, foster army/police operations, and suppress protests and opposition in Kashmir. "Parliamentarians, jurists, media and business men, ex-service men ,and Government and non-Government personnel of Pakistan and India including some politicians of AJK and a faction of APHC have been holding talks on Kashmir for the past several years, but they have not been able to change the military mind-set of Delhi on Kashmir; and stop human rights violations except to start trade and connect immaterial things to the basic question of Kashmir," he opined and further emphasized on the genuine leadership of the Kashmiris, "to sit together to deliberate on the current scenario and draw their own line of action in the best interest of the long suffering people of Jammu and Kashmir.

سال-1975-- میں غلام محمد بلہ کی شہادت نے جدوجہد آزادی کا چراغ روشن کیا۔ ۔ محمد فاروق رحمانی
Message on Martyrdom of Ghulam Muhammad Bulla by Farooq Rehmani
Here it is worth reminding that 1974 and 1975 were the years of political turbulence in Kashmir. India's then Prime minister Indra Gandhi and her emissary G. Parthasarthy had after many years of negotiations succeeded in arriving at a compromise formula with the leaders of the Plebiscite Front --Sheikh Abdullah and Mirza Afzal Beig. Although they claimed that the pre-1953 status of the State will be restored, but ultimately it was just a change of hands; and even the old nomenclature of the State--Prime minister and Sadre-Riyast was not restored. As a result of this Accord In February 1975, only the leaders of the ruling Congress Party were replaced by Sheikh Abdullah and his colleagues causing more anger and anguish among the people against the leadership of then Plebiscite Front. Consequently big protest demonstrations were held throughout the Jammu and Kashmir, against the accord between Indra Gandhi and Sheikh Abdullah. In Sopore anti-accord demonstration led by Ghulam Muhammad Bulla and others was brutally dispersed by police, and Bulla was arrested. He was taken to the local Police Station and beaten and tortured by the authorities especially DSP Sopore. After a few days he was shifted to the Central Jail Srinagar, where he graced his martyrdom.
The tragic episode did not end here. Bulla Shaheed's corpse was taken to Sopore under the tight police escort, where in the dead of the night the martyr of freedom was buried by the police.
The tragic event sent shock waves across the valley and life remained paralyzed for many days in Kashmir to mourn his brutal-custodial killing.
Sheikh Abdullah replaced Syed Mir Qasim as the Chief Minister of the State under the terms of the compromise between the India's ruling Congress party and Plebiscite Front. An overwhelming majority of the people and Pakistan did not swallow the bait. The then Prime minister of Pakistan Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Shaheed gave a protest call against this accord to be observed by the Kashmiris on Friday 28 February,1975.The protest call was responded by unprecedented shut-down by the people across Kashmir, stunning higher echelons of power in Delhi. It is still remembered in the chronicles of the period. Sheikh Abdullah had termed the Delhi Accord 1975 as a new chapter with new leaves of India-Kashmir relations, but when he died in 1982, he was a disappointed leader of his country. In the later years, Kashmiri youths reorganized themselves according to the lost bedrock of the political struggle. They are up-in-arms against occupation for the last 22 years. But, today they face the cob-web of bilateral trade- dialogue between India and Pakistan, where as they emphasize on both of them to unfold the road-map of just resolution and durable peace on the basis of the right of self-determination. Human blood always looks for glorious destiny of the suffering people.
